This or That Game:

Each card shows two winter items or activities, and students move to one side of the room to show their choice. There are no right or wrong answers. The 20 cards are provided as both a printable PDF and PowerPoint slides so you can display them on your whiteboard during the activity.

Opinion Writing Worksheets:

Each of the 20 choice cards has a matching writing worksheet where students write their opinion and support it with three reasons. There’s also a blank template you can use with any other would you rather questions you come up with on your own. The templates give students a clear structure to follow, which helps especially when they’re just getting started with opinion writing.

This works well as an introduction to an opinion writing unit, a party activity before winter break, an inside recess option, or an ice breaker when students come back in January. It’s ready to print use!
