The first day of school is exciting, but it can also feel a little chaotic — and having a simple, engaging activity ready to go the moment students walk in makes a real difference.
This self portrait activity gives your students a chance to draw themselves and write about who they are, right from day one. It is a low-pressure, creative way to ease into the school year while you are still getting your bearings and learning names.
