Description
These U.S. presidents trifold brochure templates give students structure as they learn to conduct research on a topic.
Each brochure walks students through biographical research on one president, covering everything from early life and education to accomplishments in office and legacy. Because every section is laid out for them, students can focus on finding and recording information rather than figuring out what to look for in the first place.
For each president, students will add:
- President’s name
- Portrait/drawing
- Date of birth
- Birthplace (written and colored on a map)
- Number of siblings
- Education
- Occupation
- Spouse
- Number of children
- Military service
- Year elected
- President number (such as 25th president)
- Terms served
- Vice president
- Presidential nickname
- Accomplishments during office
- Historical events during term
- Accomplishments after leaving office
- Date of death
- Burial place
- Location of monument, memorial, or library
- Remembered for
Because there’s a separate brochure for every president, you can assign a different one to each student or let them choose their own. Either way, the whole class ends up researching different presidents at the same time, which makes for a much more interesting share-out than everyone turning in work on the same person.
This works well during a U.S. history or government unit, as a standalone research skills project, or as an independent study option for students who finish early and need something meaningful to dig into. Students get practice locating biographical information, reading for specific details, and organizing what they find — all within a format that’s already set up for them. When they’re done, they have a finished brochure that covers a president’s life from beginning to end.
