WH Questions Reading Comprehension
This WH Questions Reading Comprehension resource will help your students learn to answer who, what, when, where, and why questions about what they have read.
There are 10 decodable passages with comprehension questions in two different versions:
• Version A – Primary writing lines with dashed center line
• Version B – Single writing lines for answers
Each short decodable story includes 5 questions: who, what, when, where, and why. The WH word in each question is in bold to draw students’ attention to it.
The stories use simple enough language that younger readers or ESL students can successfully read and understand them.
These short story reading comprehension passages can be used in guided reading groups, as an assessment, for homework, or as a speech-language therapy tool.
