This math resource provides multiple ways to practice ten times greater place value concepts in 4th and 5th grade.
Students will recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right and ten times less than what it represents in the place to its left.

Students sort numbers and place them onto an organizer to build number sentences that show a ten times greater place value relationship.
Includes 4 sorting mat organizers, 4 sets of number cards, and answer keys.
Task Cards
There are two types of tasks on these cards. In the first type, students are given a number with an underlined digit. They must choose the answer to “The value of the underlined digit is ten times greater than ______.
The second type of task also shows students a multi-digit number. They must choose the answer to “This number is ten times greater than _____.”
Includes 20 task cards, recording sheet, and answer key.
Worksheets
On each page, students cut out numbers and glue them onto a chart to correctly complete the “ten times greater than” relationships. There are 8 comparisons on each page.
