Description

These months of the year printables will give your kindergarten and first grade students fun hands-on practice. Instead of just hearing or reading the words during calendar time, your students get to color, cut, trace, and glue their way through the months and seasons.

WHAT YOU WILL GET:

  • Months cut and paste worksheets — one page per month
  • Months sequencing activities — two versions included
  • Birthday month worksheets — one page per month
  • Identifying seasons coloring and labeling page
  • Months and seasons sorting cut and paste activity

Months Cut and Paste Worksheets:

Each page focuses on one specific month. Students color a picture, trace and write the name of the month, trace the number of days in the month, and then cut and paste letters to spell the month. Two pages are included for February so you can choose between 28 or 29 days depending on whether it is a leap year.

Months Sequencing:

Students cut out the names of the months and glue them back in the correct order. Two versions are included — one with a numbered list to guide students and one with pictures, so you can choose the version that fits where your students are.

Birthday Month Worksheets:

These pages help students connect the months to something personal — their own birthday. Students trace the name of their birthday month and color a picture. There is one worksheet for each month of the year.

Identifying Seasons:

Students look at a scene for each season, color it, and label it with the name of the season. Both “fall” and “autumn” wording options are included so you can use whichever term you prefer in your classroom.

Months and Seasons Sorting:

Students cut out the names of the months and glue them under the correct season. This one is great for checking whether students can connect what they know about months to the bigger concept of seasons. Again, both “fall” and “autumn” versions are included.

Beyond learning the months and seasons, your students will also be building fine motor skills, practicing with scissors and pencils, working on letter formation, and developing early concepts of time . These activities work well in literacy or calendar centers, as morning work, or for small group practice. Because each activity is self-contained, you can use the whole set together or pull out individual pages as you need them throughout the year.
