Posters
• Poster 1 – This is a full-color poster with the words to the Pledge of Allegiance and a picture of the flag. Perfect to hang in the classroom to help students when reciting the pledge.
• Poster 2 – Full-color poster with key vocabulary words highlighted in a bold color.
• Posters 3 and 4 – This is a set of 2 black-and-white posters with blank spaces for students to fill in with key vocabulary words. One poster features a girl holding the flag. The other is a picture of a boy with a flag.
Vocabulary Cards
Each card includes an important word from the pledge with the definition underneath. Great for teaching the meaning of each phrase. Includes the following words: pledge, allegiance, united, republic, nation, indivisible, liberty, justice
Worksheets
• Worksheet 1 – Students cut out kid-friendly versions of each phrase and glue them under the matching part of the pledge. Helps to build understanding of what the words mean.
• Worksheet 2 – Students color the flag and complete fill-in-the-blank statements about the stars and stripes. Includes two versions for differentiation. One asks students how many stars and stripes there are with cut-and-glue answers. The other also asks what the stars and stripes represent with written answers instead of cut-and-paste.
Answer keys are included.
