POWERPOINT LESSON
This lesson walks students through the steps of measuring the length of an object using the “box” method. This helps students easily see quarters of an inch even when the ruler is marked in eighths or sixteenths. If you have students who struggle to understand and use the markings on a standard ruler, this method will help tremendously!
MEASUREMENT TASK CARDS
Includes 12 cards plus printable rulers, recording sheets, and answer key. On each card, students measure the length of an object using their ruler.
MEASUREMENT WORKSHEETS
Includes two different versions plus answer keys. These will also work for assessment. Students will measure line segments to the nearest quarter inch.
