Kindergarten Word Problems Addition & Subtraction within 10

Your students will move from just finding the sum or difference in a word problem to determining the operation and writing their own equation.

• SET 3 – Students determine the operation and solve to find the sum or difference. Includes mixed addition and subtraction word problems.

• SET 4 – This set focuses on missing addend problems and involves more advanced critical thinking.

Each set includes 9 different problems (3 worksheets with 3 words problems on a page). All involve addition and subtraction within 10. They are written in a clear, primary font with picture support.

These worksheets are just right for small group math instruction when teaching addition and subtraction within 10. Pair them with manipulatives so students can model the problems as they solve. You can also use these for homework, assessment, or as independent practice.
