This is a set of task cards for learning to use quotation marks and punctuation when writing dialogue. Students read a sentence on each task card and then determine which words belong in quotations or what type of punctuation is needed and where to place it. Several cards involve reported speech vs. spoken words. Students will also need to know when a question mark belongs within the quotation marks or placed after them.
