When teaching phonics, students need many opportunities to read words containing those spelling patterns. These phonics picture hunt puzzles are a fun way to give them that independent practice!
 
This printable resource contains 26 phonics ”read and find” worksheets. On each page, students read a list of words containing the target phonics pattern and then find the matching pictures in the puzzle.
 
The phonics patterns included in these worksheet are:
 
Digraphs: ch, sh, th, wh, ph, ck
R-controlled Vowels: ar, er, ir, or, ur
Silent E: a_e, i_e, o_e, u_e
Vowel Teams: ai, ay, ea, ee, ey, oa, oo, ou, ow
Soft C and Soft G
