Beatitudes Printable Worksheet and Posters
 
This printable set of worksheets and bulletin board mini posters are designed to help students learn the Beatitudes from the gospel of Matthew. Incorporating them into daily life fosters a deeper understanding of our faith and the teachings of Jesus. They also provide an excellent foundation for character education and what we should strive for as children of God to achieve true happiness.
 
These activities and materials are very easy to work into your lesson plans and are perfect for use with a variety of age groups in Christian school classrooms, homeschool, youth ministry, VBS, or Sunday school lessons.

🟢 DESCRIPTION

Beatitudes Posters
This is a set of 8 half-page posters and a title or heading card. Each poster includes one of the Beatitudes and a picture to go with it. These could be used for a bulletin board display or for instructional purposes. Print on card stock and laminate for durability.
 
Beatitudes Worksheet 1
This is a cut and paste worksheet that helps children learn the words of each Beatitudes. Students read the first half of each Beatitude and then cut out and glue the second half underneath to complete the phrase. For example, the first beatitude on the page says, "Blessed are the poor in spirit" so students would glue on the piece that says, "for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
 
Beatitudes Worksheet 2
On the second worksheet, students match each characteristic with its meaning and glue it underneath. For example, for "be meek", they would glue "to not seek power; to submit to God’s authority and will" underneath. This is a great way to teach new vocabulary and help kids understand the true meaning of each beatitude and even put them into their own words.
 
Because some of the vocabulary can be difficult for younger kids, I suggest using this worksheet in small group lessons.
 
Beatitudes Crossword Puzzle
This worksheet requires students to add the missing word to each beatitude to complete the clues and solve the puzzle. There are two versions - one with a word bank and one without - making it appropriate to use with any age group from younger children to adults.
 
Answer keys for all three worksheets are included.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peace makers, for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
 
The Beatitudes are often used as memory verses. This printable pack of worksheets and posters is an excellent way to help students learn them and will become a valuable part of your beatitudes lessons.
